There are places that manage to get under your skin, even though you do not really know them very well. Bruges is that kind of place. Both times I’ve visited it I noticed its beautiful Gothic buildings, the picturesque corners inviting tourists to stop for a photo and the fact that it truly is a heaven for food connoisseurs.

Bratislava este un oras cochet si linistit. Poate prea linistit, dupa gusturile unora. Majoritatea cladirilor sunt reconditionate, bulevardele sunt largi si aerisite, restaurantele sunt numeroase, iar timpul pare ca sta in loc. Influentele perioadei comuniste inca se resimt pe alocuri, prin arhitectura rigida a cladirilor aflate in orasul nou (“Nove Mesto”), care se intinde la sud de Dunare.

As the winter holiday approaches, more and more people are interested in discovering destinations fit for winter sports, with beautiful landscapes and tasty local cuisine. Here are some short descriptions of these two picturesque places that I enjoyed visiting two years ago.

Why Seville (Spain) is a great winter destination
